Belarus NOC president meets with head of Children of Asia organizing committee

President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko met with Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia International Committee, on 30 September.

 
Viktor Lukashenko said at the meeting that the relations between the NOC of Belarus, the Children of Asia organizing committee and the ROC were actively developing:

“Participation in such competitions is a great event for Belarusian young athletes. Just recently we honored our winners and medalists of the Games. It is very important for the young athletes to be able to perform with the national flag and anthem. We will gladly accept invitations to the upcoming competitions and will definitely send out best athletes,” Viktor Lukashenko said.

The head of the Children of Asia organizing committee emphasized the important role the Belarusian athletes played in these international competitions by placing high in the medal standings. Vladimir Maksimov once again expressed his gratitude to the Belarusian team for the participation in the 8th Children of Asia Summer International Games.

“The recent competitions in Yakutsk will be long remembered by its participants, for whom the Games will serve as an incentive to train hard and achieve even more significant results. I am very glad that we have established friendly relations. Now we are working on a new project, URBAN Games, where we will also be glad to welcome our friends from Belarus. Of course, we invite your teams to participate in the next winter and summer editions of the Children of Asia Games,” Vladimir Maksimov said.

Vladimir Maksimov had earlier toured the sports facilities of Minsk and attended the KHL match featuring HC Dinamo Minsk. At the end of the meeting the parties expressed their intentions to continue close cooperation in terms of physical culture and sports.
