According to the NOC press service, Arman-Marshall Silla (Belarus) got the silver medal at the European Olympic quota and won Rio 2016 license.

The events took place on January 16-17, 2016 in Istanbul (Turkey). Belarusian team was composed of four athletes: Vladislav Savlukov (up to 80 kg), Arman-Marshall Silla (over 80 kg), Darya Zubovich (up to 57 kg) and Victoria Belanovskaya (up to 67 kg).
At their very first bouts female fighters from Belarus didn’t succeed in making it further to the tournament: Tatyana Teterevyatnikova (Ukraine) took over Victoria Belanovskaya with the score of 0:1. Darya Zubovich also failed to score any point losing to her opponent from Belgium Indre Kraen (0:3).
First bout was successful for Vladislav Savlukov where he managed to defeat his Bulgarian opponent Theodore Georgiev (3:1), but the second bout turned out to be a losing one where Yunus Sari (Turkey) took the lead with the score of 3:7.
Arman-Marshall Silla became the only Belarusian athlete who was competing for the quota place. Making it to the final, he competed for the gold against Mahoma Cho (Great Britain) eventually losing by 2 to 4 and taking silver medal and Olympic quota place for Rio 2016.

According to coaching staff, it was planned that it would be Silla that compete for Olympic quota place for Rio-2016. First round – Rio 2016 qualification is completed, now the athlete will continue his training for the most significant start of the four-year period.
