
The World Wrestling Championship among athletes under 23 years of age has ended in Tirana (Albania).
On the final day of the competition, Greco-Roman wrestler Hleb Makaranka reached the final. In the decisive battle, the Belarusian was opposed by the representative of Russia Rahman Tavmurzaev. The Belarusian lost 1:6 and became the silver medalist.
The Belarusian team won five medals at the World Championship U-23. Pavel Glinchuk won gold, Hleb Makarenka silver, our girls also climbed to the podium of the main start of the season: Alina Shauchuk won silver in the category up to 68 kg, and Arina Martynova and Victoria Radzkova won bronze in the categories up to 55 kg and up to 72 kg, respectively.
