Darya Yurkevich and Sergey Bocharnikov hit top 10 biathletes of IBU World Cup 2016 first edition

Belarusian biathletes Darya Yurkevich and Sergey Bocharnikov were recognized among 10 strongest athletes in Single Mixed Relay of the first tour of the IBU World Cup 2016 in Östersund, Sweden.

With one miss and 3 additional cartridges in the beginning, Darya Yurkevich improved her performance on a rifle range that helped the her squad to reenter the ten most prominent teams. Sergey Bocharnikov’s first performance in the season was no less successful, as he held the whole relay without any serious mistakes.

The French duet of Marie Dorin-Habert and Martin Fourcade came first in Supermix – 35,43.5min (0+4). The Belarus’ couple lost to the winners +2.54,7min (1+13).

Austrian team of Lisa Theresa Hauser and Simon Eder showed second result - +16,0sec (0+6). Germans Erik Lesser and Franziska Proiss were third - +25,2sec (0+4).
