EYOF-2019. Hockey. Belarusians beat the team of Finland and will compete for the gold of the festival

At the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival in the hockey tournament ended the group round. The national team of Belarus beat the team of Finland - 4-2 - and took the first place. According to the rules of the tournament, the winners of the groups play the match for the first place.

Belarus-Finland– 4-2 (2:1, 0:0, 2:1)

Vladislav Zalesinskiy, Egor Klavdiev, Herman Pirogov, Vitaly Pinchuk delivered pucks.

Coach Pavel Perepekhin: "Guys played a good match with full dedication. We prepared seriously, after yesterday's defeat we had nowhere to retreat, so everyone made up their minds and showed their best qualities."

The best player of the match became a goalkeeper Nikita Mytnik: "The team helped to save the gate from 36 goals! We made conclusions after the game against the Slovaks, were ready to win. We weren’t afraid of Finns, we were ready to win".

Team captain Kirill Boinic after winning did not hide the happiness: "It's hard to say something because I’m full of emotions. Each of us is happy that it happened. We gave everything we could for this victory. Yesterday it was a shame after the defeat, but we made up our minds. I really wanted to come here for a reason, and show something. I'm excited!”.

On February 14, the Belarusian team will play for the gold awards against the Czech team. The meeting starts at 22.00 (Belarusian time).
