
A reporting and election conference of the Belarusian Swimming Federation was held at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus on 6 May.
Olga Stepus, a member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the Standing Committee on Healthcare, Physical Education, Youth and Social Policy, was elected new chairperson of the organization.

State coach Anna Kopachenya and national team head coach Andrei Lipnitsky were named deputy chairpersons of the federation.
Participants of the conference also heard out a report on the activities of the federation in 2021-2024, elected the presidium of the federation, made amendments and additions to the charter of the organization.
Olga Stepus replaced Ella Selitskaya, who headed the federation since 2017.

President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko thanked Ella Selitskaya for many years of fruitful work as the head of the public organization. Ella Selitskaya was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus and a commemorative medal for her significant contribution to the development of the Olympic movement, mass and high-performance sports in the country. Ella Selitskaya was also awarded the Badge for Merits of the Belarusian Swimming Federation.
According to Ksenia Sankovich, the NOC of Belarus highly appreciates Ella Selitskaya's contribution to the development of swimming in the country.
“I hope that you will continue to interact with sport and the National Olympic Committee as part of your work in the Union State Standing Committee. I wish you good luck and every success. We will always be happy to welcome you at the NOC,” the secretary general said at the conference.
