Open address of Belarusian athletes gathers more than 3,000 signatures

The open address of famous Belarusian athletes, champions and medalists of the Olympic Games, world, European and national championships to the international and Belarusian public was opened for signing on 24 November.

More than 3,000 athletes, coaches and sports industry workers have already supported the address.

Among them are famous athletes, Olympic champions and medalists and coaches: Aliaksei Abalmasau (canoe sprint), Nikolay Alekhin (fencing), Andrey Barbashinsky (handball), Andrei and Aliaksandr Bahdanovich (canoe sprint), Sergey Bulygin (biathlon), Ekaterina Karsten (rowing), Anton Kushnir (aerials), Maryna Litvinchuk (canoe sprint), Ihar Makarau (judo), Aleksandr Maseikov (canoe sprint), Spartak Mironovich (handball), Aleksandr Medved (freestyle wrestling), Yanina Karolchyk-Pravalinskaya (athletics; discuss throw), Anastasiya Prokopenko (modern pentathlon), Natallia Tsylinskaya (cycling), Liubou Charkashyna (artistic gymnastics), Aryna Sabalenka (tennis), Valery Shariy (weightlifting), Vasilisa Marzalyuk (wrestling), Ivan Tikhan (athletics), Katsiaryna Halkina, Alina Harnasko, Anastasiia Salos (rhythmic gymnastics), Uladzislau Hancharou, Aleh Rabtsau, Maryia Makharynskaya (trampoline), Yauheni Karaliok, Hanna Tserakh (cycling), Hanna Nifantava (speed skating), Dzmitry Tratsiakou (canoe sprint), Iryna Kurachkina (wrestling), Irina Leparskaya (rhythmic gymnastics), Olga Vlasova (trampoline), Viktor Kamotsky (cross-country skiing), Olena Zubrilova (biathlon), and many others.

Athletes and coaches are unanimous in their opinion: the Belarusian Olympic team should perform at the Games under the national flag and should not be subjected to pressure.
