Vladimir Konoplev reelected head of Belarusian Handball Federation

On 14 May the NOC of Belarus hosted the general meeting of the Belarusian Handball Federation (BHF). Vladimir Konoplev was unanimously reelected head of the BHF. He first became chairman of the handball federation in June 2006.

Vladimir Konoplev said that despite the difficulties, the handball sport has been developing steadily in Belarus. National and club teams take part in international tournaments. The heads of the international and European federations are making efforts to solve the issues of admission of our teams and sent their greetings to the participants of today's general meeting.

The BHF chairman also urged to continue to make maximum efforts for further development of children's and youth handball in the regions. He thanked all the coaches working with young handball players for teaching young athletes the basics of sportsmanship and helping them to grow to the level of the strongest teams.


The delegates discussed a number of urgent issues of Belarusian handball and elected members of the executive board, chairmen of the standing commissions and other bodies of the BHF.
