On June 22, the second competition day at the 2nd European Games, the rhythmic gymnastics tournament kicked off. The individual gymnasts competed in the all-around qualification. Ekaterina Galkina won bronze on the basis of points she received for four exercises.
The Belarusian athlete made a series of mistakes during the ball routine, however her performance with ribbon, hoop and clubs was impeccable.
She finished in 3d place with a total of 79.300 points. The Russian Champion Dina Averina scored 87.750 points, Israel’s Linoy Ashram placed second with 84.700 points.
Ekaterina qualified to four apparatus finals and will continue to compete on June 23.
