Belarus triumph in mixed relay at Russian Biathlon Championships

The Belarusian team of Hanna Sola, Dzinara Smolskaya, Dzmitry Lazouski and Anton Smolski demonstrated good shooting skills and powerful skiing to claim victory in the mixed relay at the Russian Biathlon Championships in Tyumen.

The competitors were not so accurate and ran much slower. For example, Belarusian Dzmitry Lazouski reached the first standing with a half-minute advantage, closed it with seven shots and increased the advantage to 50 seconds on the final lap. Anton Smolski anchored a victory despite five spares.

The mixed relay win became the second one for Team Belarus at the Russian Biathlon Championships in Tyumen. On Tuesday Hanna Sola won the women's pursuit.

The team of Russia’s Novosibirsk Oblast finished second in the mixed relay, with the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra team coming in third.
