
Belarus’ Mariya Gnedtchik and Anastasiya Arol claimed victory on the opening day of the UIPM 2026 Pentathlon World Championships in China.
The women’s relay was the first event on the program, and it brought gold for Belarusian athletes. Russian pentathletes Viktoriia Sazonova and Yana Soloveva took silver, while bronze went to the team from Egypt.
The season’s main event in modern pentathlon will run through 30 August.
