5th National Athletes’ Forum kicks off at Belarus’ NOC headquarters

The National Athletes’ Forum is held for the fifth time at the international level with the support of Russian International Olympic University, and today the Olympic Glory Hall traditionally brought together representatives not only from Belarus but also from Russia. Among the participants are renowned, decorated athletes who will discuss the conditions for the development of sports in our countries and on the international stage.

The forum takes the form of a seminar-conference with elements of expert discussion, and its main theme is Sport Against All Odds. The speakers include:

Darya Domracheva, four-time Olympic champion in biathlon

Hanna Huskova, 2018 PyeongChang Olympics champion in freestyle skiing

Aliaksandr Bahdanovich, 2008 Beijing Olympics champion in canoe sprint

Anastasia Fesikova (Russia), 2012 London Olympics silver medalist in swimming

Nikolay Gulyaev (Russia), 1988 Calgary Olympics champion in speed skating

Considerable attention will also be paid to the development of an athlete’s personal brand, which will be discussed and explored together with the athletes by invited experts:

Ivan Dokukin (journalist, sports blogger, editor-in-chief of the media outlet PROverka, commentator for the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy): “The Impact of an Athlete’s Public Image: Tools for Promoting Athletes and Teams in the Media”

Viktor Gancharenko (head coach of the Belarusian national football team, the youngest coach in UEFA Champions League history): “Either You Move Forward or You Slide Down. The Best Story of a Coach Who Was an Athlete Yesterday”

Pavel Kramar (blogger, founder of the KOKO.BY project) and Ekaterina Antonova (head of public relations at HC Dinamo Minsk: “An Athlete’s Personal Brand and What to Do About It”
