In a tense match full of unforced errors, the Belarusian proved stronger than American Coco Gauff 6-3, 7-6.
The match kept the audience on their toes until the last game. In the second set Sabalenka broke Gauff's serve at 4-5, took a 6-5 lead on her own serve and snatched victory in the tie-break.
This is the fourth Madrid final for the Belarusian tennis player. Previously, Aryna Sabalenka lifted the trophy in 2021 and 2023.
All in all, Aryna has collected 20 WTA titles in her career. Success in the Spanish capital brought the 26-year-old Belarusian the third trophy in the current season after Brisbane and Miami.
