 On April 30, national sports delegation for the I European Games has been confirmed at the meeting of the Executive Board of NOC Belarus.

National team includes 153 athletes and 54 coaches. Belarusian athletes will compete in the following disciplines: acrobatics, boxing, freestyle wrestling, greco-roman wrestling, cycling (BMX and road cycling), beach volleyball, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, canoe sprint, judo, swimming, synchronized swimming, diving, trampoline, archery, shooting, table tennis, triathlon, fencing, badminton, karate, sambo, taekwondo.

The most outstanding Belarusian athletes have been included to the provisional squad: Olympic champions such as Alexander and Andrey Bogdanovich (canoe sprint),Vadim Makhnev and Roman Petrushenko (canoe), Sergei Martynov and Konstantin Lukashik (shooting); multiple medalists of World and European Championships Melitina Staniouta ( rhythmic gymnastics), Vladimir Samsonov ( table tennis), Aleh Yurenia (canoe), Vladislav Goncharov, Anna Gorchenok, Nikolai Kazak and Tatyana Petrenya ( trampoline), Vitaliy Bubnovich, Yuriy Shcherbatsevich, Viktorya Chaika, Ilya Chergeiko (shooting), Andrey Kazusenok and Yuriy Rybak (sambo), Silla Arman-Marshall (taekwondo) , Vanessa Kolodinskaya ,Vasilisa Marzolyuk and Ananstasiya Guchok ( freestyle wrestling).

National archery team is represented by the most competitive athletes: Anton Prilepov, Elena Tolkach, Pavel Dalidovich, Aliaksandr Liahusheu, Hanna Marusava, Ekaterina Timofeyeva; national cycling team includes such leaders of Belarusian cycling as Vasil Kiryienka, Elena Omelyusik, Konstantin Sivtsov, Tatyana Sharakova, Yauheni Hutarovich.


Specialists predict that our athletes might be capable to win at least 35 medals.
Chief of mission is an Olympic champion and Head of Olympic Movement Department of NOC Belarus Dmitry Dovgalenok.
The first group of Belarusian athletes leaves for Baku on June 10, 2015.


Presentation of the national team and official press conference dedicated to the first European Games will be held at the headquarters of NOC Belarus on May 13 at 16:00. The main athletes and coaches, representatives of NOC Belarus, Ministry for Sports and Tourism, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Belarus and general sponsors of NOC Belarus are to take part in this event.
